spring has officially arrived here in northern New Mexico. with the exception of the occasional hail storm, we are in full swing. my man and i decided to spend his birthday at the river. the Rio Grande is literally our backyard, and quite a hike down. the upside to the hike down is that there is never anyone there. the downside is well, its a long steep hike, and we ran into a rattlesnake on the way down. a minor inconvenience for the grandeur that awaits you. i am looking forward to many afternoons here.

i am still working on my studio. my boyfriend built this reclaimed wood work table for me

ever since i moved here i have dreamed of having some kind of pool. well, i finally did it. we moved our claw foot tub to the yard and i used some extra flagstone we had laying around to surround it. this is gonna be a sweet spot for the summer.
